Player Development Programme
Arsenal Ladies run a community initiative aimed at assisting the development of 7-14 year old girls playing for grassroots clubs.
The club will offer coaching blocks (5,6 & 7 weeks long), where players will receive tailored coaching in small groups to help them improve their game.
Following the course, participants will be provided with a written report of their progress, to assist them when they return to their grassroots club.
The programme, open to 7-14 year olds, launches next week September 9th 2014. 15 places will be available in each block.
New dates will be released in July 2015.
Arsenal Ladies Club Associates
Arsenal Ladies will be supporting the work of grassroots girls’ football clubs through a new club associate programme launched in September 2014.
The scheme, which aims to grow the women’s game and aid the development of young female players, will support local teams with advice on training methods and recruitment.
The Gunners will also run special guest coaching sessions at local clubs, and offer their players the opportunity to be ball girls at Arsenal Ladies matches.
Arsenal Ladies development officer Ciara Allan said: “We are delighted to launch this new programme and to demonstrate our commitment to supporting the growth of the female game.
“The work that some of these clubs are doing within their local communities is fantastic and we hope to use this programme as a vehicle to support and expand their current work so we can help engage and retain more female players within football.”
