Arsenal Ladies are through to this season's Continental Cup final after a dominant 4-0 victory over Bristol Academy on Monday night.
The Gunners led by a solitary goal at half time thanks to Gemma Davison's opener five minutes before the break.
And Arsenal turned on the style in the second period with goals from a fantastic free kick into the top right hand corner by Kelly Smith. A lovely move from the Ladies made it three with a great combination play by Smith and Davidson and a smart finish from Rachel Yankey. The fourth goal came from substitute Jennifer Beattie with again a great move and through ball by Jordan Nobbs and a lovely finish into the bottom left hand corner by Beattie capping off a fine night.
Arsenal, although on top, did not have everything their own way and were forced to wait until the final 20 minutes for their final three goals.
In the first half, Steph Houghton struck the crossbar with a powerful header before drawing an excellent save from goalkeeper Siobhan Chamberlain.
But the visitors eventually took the lead towards the end of the first period whe Davison lashed home a loose clearance.
Bristol came on strong after the interval and saw Natasha Harding's shot cleared off the line before Melissa Lawley nodded over.
Harvey's side's class soon prevailed, however, and they doubled their advantage in the 70th minute through Smith's wonderful 25-yard free-kick. Three minutes later they had a third when Yankey finished off underneath Chamberlain.
Substitute Beattie added the finishing touches to a lethal display after combining with young midfielder Jordan Nobbs.
Laura Harvey's side will face Birmingham City in October to defend their crown.
