Alex rejoined Arsenal in March 2012 after three years away in the USA with Boston Breakers.
The defender has made an impressive contribution to the Arsenal Ladies since first joining the Centre of Excellence in 1999 at the age of 15.
As well as scoring the match-winning goal in the 2007 UEFA Women’s Cup final – which confirmed the Gunners as the first-ever British champions of Europe’s elite competition, the 27-year-old full back has helped the side to nine league titles and seven FA Cups in her 172 senior appearances to date.
An integral part of the England side, Alex has featured in two European Championships and two World Cups since making her debut in 2004.
